Materials Needed:
-Paper (Not more than 30)
-Card-stock/Folder
-Pencil
-Clips
-Ruler
-Scissors
-Thumbtack
-Needle
-String
-Decorative Items

How to make D.I.Y:

1. Measure the sheets that will go inside of the journal. You will add 1 inch to the cover page so both length and width will cover the sheets perfectly.
Example: Mine are the basic 8.5 by 11 inches.
The new measurements will be 9.5 by 12 inches
2. Now grab your card stock or folder and measure and cut your cover.

3.Next, you will fold all your sheets in half. Don't forget the cover.
Tips: You can use a bone folder/ruler to help you fold

4. Stack and Align all your sheets like this and clip them in place. This will be done to keep the sheets in place. Measure and mark were you want the holes to go
Example: I will only make 3 holes at the 1 inch, 4 inch, and 8 inch mark.

5. Grab the thumbtack and make sure you have your surface protected with cardboard, cork board, or do this next step on a surface you will not mind ruining.  Punch holes with the thumbtack where you have the holes marked. Keep in mind to make the holes big enough to sew the string twice.

6. Now grab your needle and string (make sure the string is a color you like because it will show).

7. Knot the loose ends and insert the needle from the inside of the book going toward the outside.

8. Then, move to the next hole insert the needle from the outside going to the inside. Keep doing this until you get to the last hole.

Now, go back going in and out of the holes till you reach the last hol
Now that you reached the last hole go back up to the middle hole and STOP there.

Finalize by knotting the strings and cutting the remaining strings. Hide the knot in between the holes.

Close the book. You can now decorate!
